Sword Fighting
Hone your sword fighting and rapier skills with a Stage Combat workshop taught by Sergio Yanes from the Florida Renaissance Festival cast. The class will consist of warm-ups, drills, fight practice and discussion. Those who intend should dress in comfortable, loose fitting clothing and wear sneakers. Also bring a wooden dowel 1/2″ – 1″ in diameter and 3 – 3 1/2 in length.

Become familiar with the names, smells, tastes, and medicinal application of various medicinal plants, and well as the history and folklore surrounding them (and some very fascinating stories, too!)
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a certificate attesting to your Apothecarial Proficiency, and you will have compiled your own medieval-style herbal (complete with actual samples of the herbs) to keep!
Class size is limited to 20 students at a time.
Dance Troupe
The 16th Century dance troupe, Revelers Round, specializes in English Country Dance and Brawnels. They will perform at the Florida Renaissance Festival both in Miami and Deerfield Beach in 2014. Dances classes held on Sundays, begin in May and continue up to the Festival. The classes for this season are at capacity. Acting Class
Joel Newlon’s acting workshop. Learn basic interactive skills: how to focus on a specific person concentrating on the action and thinking fast. The next session begins August 21st.
